Advertisements are one thing but 15 pages in a single night?
Jeff, whoever is doing this sounds like the same kinda folk that usta put a thousand terms into the keyword entra area.

An how many contributions have for a description some medical nostrum?

Jeff, a little help please? Do you hafta actually go to each and every entry to evaluate and possibly eliminate it or can you do some sorta search and manage to nail ALL tweakers into their own sub-directory?

Bless you

Hi Noah 8-?

I didn't see your post till now. This is one of my first video collection uploads and I thought (since you need 50 items to create a collection) to upload all items first into the opensource collection and then ask for a collection to be created for the videos.
A collection has now been created for the tweakers items and my items will go to there from now on, all the remaining tweakers item will also be moved into that collection.

I'm using a script to upload the videos to the Internet Archive, since it would just take too much time to upload them by hand one by one.

I believe these video are archive-worthy and I didn't mean anything bad with uploading these videos. Next time I won't upload them into the opensource collection but will ask for a collection to be created first and then I will upload the items directly into that collection.

I hope you understand me,

Arkiver.

Hey, I too have had a 'collection' to offer BUT instead of clogging up the site I put them onto a set of DVDs. Then I MAILED the collection to Archive and let Jeff install when and where he liked.

Better to have the 'Tweakers' on their own site as placed by Jeff.

Anything generally uploaded is reflected in the general upload list - - - UN-fortunately. Even if they are re-routed into their own area they STILL make it almost impossible for anyone else to use the general Video area unless they have time to muck through endless pages of .... stuff.

Yeah, I understand you jus' fine.

Ah, for the days of SERVECIE.
Those uploads of a few years ago were at least done by humans. If you examine the time stamps on the tweaker files (All Files :HTTPS) you will notice the minute by minute upload timing that occurs day and night.
Perhaps the account Arkiver@hotmail.com would respond to a courteous request to stop. But I bet that would only direct a spam barrage to the requester.
The larger question is if this material is library worthy?
Which brings up the machine generated, machine uploaded and machine downloaded "Electric Sheep". Is the Internet archive the place for content never actually created or viewed by humans? If so then perhaps a special library section for event viewer logs is in order.
This also brings to mind the difference between a thoughtful Impressionistic painting and the splash pattern my car makes on a discarded box when I drive through a mud puddle. Under the proper influence, both are ART.

Hi Mr Cranky,

I thought it would be good to respond. To be clear: I'm human and I'm not a spammer!
I do believe this material is archive worthy... ;)
The collection is now here: https://archive.org/details/tweakers (the videos that remain will be moved to there in some time)
The other collection I'm working on is here: https://archive.org/details/ISS039earthscienceandremotesensingunit (thought you're maybe interested)

Thank you and I hope you understand,

Arkiver.

Hiya Jeff.

Noah here... The home site lets me reply... work site does not.

The source of the 'Tweakers' admits that he is using a script to inundate Archive with Hundreds if not soon to be thousands of advertizing posts.

A little checking and I found the same date on no less than 19 PAGES of 'Tweaker' posts.

Maybe he could have his OWN sub-directory until it is full.

After a coupla hours wading through hundreds and hundreds of 'Tweakers' - - - - - wow.

It looks like Arkiver has found the perfect way to overload the site.

Bless you - - - an' yours

Noah 8-?

i created a collection for his materials at https://archive.org/details/tweakers. we do have users who are able to upload large amounts of content quickly which is ok. we prefer that it land in dedicated collections assuming they contact us prior to uploading.

I hope you are thanking Mr. Noah eight minus question mark, cause I'm just a troll. Perhaps computer generated at that.
